Subtle Changes

So I changed my blog...a little bit. Did you notice? Is it too girly? I guess my name is MoreyGirl:) I found this awesome blogger who is such a wiz with templates! She has some to pick from even. It's super cute. I had to change this one a little bit though, because I like the three columns. And I put my own picture at the top.

Leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Birthday parties...

in the summertime are the best! This was cousin Jack's party last Sunday. Slone could not wait to see him! Since Jack lives in central Iowa, where all the flooding was, we had to wait an extra week to go see him. That was a long week for Slone, and especially for me!

We got him the slip n slide. The kids had a blast! You never really know how Slone is going to react to stuff like this. I thought that he'd love the fireworks at the baseball game that he and his dad went to, but to this day, he says that he doesn't want fireworks for the fourth of July:)

There he goes! He had the best time! All the kids played pretty well together. Slone was great at taking turns too. He's really growing up.

You also get great favors at summertime parties:)

Bo just wanted balloons. But hey, since they kept him this happy all day, why not!?!

For the boys

I love this new set that I made up! Actually, I've had it done for a couple of weeks, just never put it on etsy yet! I think that it's a great choice for a little boy with all the green, brown, and gray. It's also such a bold, digital print. You can click on the pic to take you directly to my shop:

This little mushroom was growing in our yard the other day. Slone thought that it was so neat (even though there was no way he was going to touch it)! It was only about a half dollar size, not very big at all, and look at all the tiny details of the gills. I thought it was a cool picture, perfect for boys.

Oh and I can't mention boys without showing you my boys. I know that this looks dangerous, but it was Slone's idea:

I had been splashing them both with water while I was watering my flowers. Slone started yelling, "hey, don't get Bo wet! He's my best friend!" It melted my heart. I don't think I've really ever mentioned 'best friends' to him. I am so glad that he loves his baby brother:)

Monogram Jewelry

I know that some of you have asked if I still sell the personalized jewelry. YES, I do! I used to do home parties with this jewelry for while. If you are interested in an open house, just contact me! We can also do "book parties", you would collect the orders from family and friends, instead of having me come to your home.

You do not have to host a party though, to order. You may order one piece of jewelry at a time. But there is a $4 flat charge for shipping on each order that is placed.

Also, these items will not be in my Etsy shop, since I don't hand make them. So I am working on getting an order form set up right here for you to place your orders. You may also email, call {309-446-9293} or fax {309-446-3764} me anytime!

Click the catalog to view it! The file is a large PDF, around 6.5mb in size, so it may take a moment.

Happy Birthday to me!

I know it really doesn't matter anymore....since I have two kids and I'm over the age of 21! But birthdays are still fun. Slone thinks he should get a present (a cowboy Woody doll) for my birthday. He also asked me when we were going to have my party.

Not much excitement here today, even if it is my birthday. Here are some pics of my flowers from yesterday. The boys had a great time riding around together.

I promise to get to work on some new totes! Everyone has been complimenting the one I've been carrying! I'll post some pictures of some new fabric that I bought for them:)

All work....and no play?

Here is Matt...work, work, work. He makes sure that everything is nice and tidy before going in the house. Now once he gets in the house, that's a different story. But his truck is immaculate, he says the house is not....well, we don't eat, sleep and play in the truck!

Obviously, it's not all work:)

Seriously though, I am so proud of my husband and the work that he does.

You know that it's summer.....

in Illinois, when last week we had on jeans and sweatshirts and now we are wanting to turn on the air conditioner.

But look how beautiful these hostas are!

Oh, and you know it's summer because these are in your yard...

This blanket reminds me of summer...I love these colors!

Minky Stroller Blankets

I put up a poll a couple of months ago on which kind of blanket that you prefer, minky or flannel. Minky was the winner and I finally got a few made! Here's a preview...

Cherry Tacos

I forgot I took these pictures! They had "Cherry Brisket Tacos" and contrary to what you might think, they were so good! They were a yummy beef brisket with green peppers and onions, cheese, and a spicy cherry sauce, all wrapped up in a taco shell.

Of course, you can't go to a festival without having a lemon shake up!

My weekend

So the Washington Cherry Festival was pretty fun! Mom and my niece, Maggie, got to go with me. But, this is what it looked like on Friday...right at our scheduled set up time....

That was not so much fun, because a long line of storms came through, but I didn't know if we should stay or go home because they kept saying it was supposed to clear off. Actually, we did have a lot of laughs dragging our things in the tent, then back to the van, then twice more. We did end up going home though, and all of the festival activities were cancelled for the night.

We (me & Maggie) went back on Saturday. It was the most beautiful day. The sun was shining and a nice breeze was blowing. But since there was so much rain, it was still pretty muddy. We were saved by the baby wipes!

But here is how the tent looked, even though we did change it around a little bit later.

It was still, over all, a pretty good day....I am going to update the shop and add some new items now!
