Washington Cherry Festival

May 30 & 31, I am going to be at the Washington Cherry Festival! I'm really excited, especially since only handmade items are allowed.

That picture is one of their town square. It's quite an impressive little town.

If you would like to purchase from my MoreyGirl shop, please realize that I'm taking everything that I have with me. So some items in my shop might be sold this weekend. Please hold off on your purchase until Sunday, so I have time to update my inventory.

Wish me luck!:) I'll post some pictures of my stand when I get back!

My new tote

I whipped this up last night. It's Anna Maria Horner's newest fabric and I love it! It's called "the drawing room". This one is the pink fabric. (I have the blue version of it too:) The bottom is done in a chocolate corduroy. It hides the dirt better then the lighter fabric. The tote is lined with Amy Butler's fabric, complete with two pockets. Also, it's totally sturdy and can stand on it's own.

It's 15 inches tall, 14 inches wide, and about 4 inches deep. The straps have a 10 inch drop in them. I love them that length, because you can throw it over your shoulder and it won't come back around in front of you while you're messing with your kids, groceries and other goodies.

Let me know what you think! Leave a comment on it. I'm going to be making some more in different fabric to put up in my shop! This one though, I think I'll keep. I just really like it:)

Moving dirt back and forth

This may be what my entire summer consists of. It seems as though, all the boys want to do is be outside. Grandpa Windish built them a sandbox last year, and it is the main attraction so far. We now have sand everywhere....especially outside of the sandbox!

Honestly, it will be nice to be outside again. It rained today, and Nickelodeon is getting on my nerves. We are all ready for sunshine and eighty degrees! Well, seventy-five at least.

Lyla's Bear

This is the little bear that I've been working on for my niece. I used the pattern from Amy Gaines. She's written a book of little crochet animals that I got off of Amazon. I have bought a couple of patterns from her too off of etsy. The animals are pretty fun to make, this bear is my second one. The first one being an elephant for Slone, but you won't see it. I ran out of the yarn I was using, so he's all different colors.

Security Blankets

These are handy blankets! If your child needs the comfort of a blankie then use it in the stroller while shopping or on a walk instead of a large blanket that would be dragging on the ground. And in case of an emergency, they can be used as an extra large burp cloth! They are sure to soak up any mess!

Each security blanket is about 18x18 inches. One side being a cotton print; the other side a super soft minky.

This item can be monogrammed. If you are shopping through Etsy, be sure to purchase the Monogram listing along with this blanket!

Flannel Stroller Blankets

Here is a great blanket to take anywhere! Super easy for in the stroller or carseat when Baby needs something warm! Also use it on the floor as a soft plat mat. It measures about 28 inches by 33 inches. It has two layers of baby soft white flannel and one side cotton! Three layers to keep Baby cozy.

Get this blanket personalized with Baby's name or monogram! Just $7 more. If you are purchasing through Etsy, make sure to buy the Custom Embroidery listing along with this blanket!

My New Banner

So back in April, I ordered this banner kit from MorganMoore! The kit was actually to make a "celebrate" banner, but I thought that a MoreyGirl banner would be a great way to display my name at craft fair booths. But look how nicely everything comes! All packaged together, ready to go. I didn't even have to cut any fabric.

But I did have to cut out the letters...my least favorite thing to do:)

And now here is the finished product! I'm very happy with it!

Loved it so much in fact, that my brand-new niece and my not-so-new nephew, each got one of their own for their rooms.

What it is, Mom?

That was the question earlier this evening. It hailed, and Slone was totally impressed! They weren't super huge chunks but it covered our back deck. That's Slone's little hand holding one of the biggest pieces. No damage was done, but Daddy said that he better put his tractor away. It really cooled down too, after it was all over.

What a difference a week makes!

Here is a picture of one of my lilacs exactly one week ago. Promising, but not much to look at and it didn't smell at all.

Now, here is the bush just earlier tonight! There are five large lilac bushes in our yard. There were here when we got here, so I can't take credit for them. But you can smell them now, even from our back deck!

My Boys

We were outside again last night. I cannot help but share some of these pictures. These boys are just too cute not to share.

He loves those fingers.

Poser

Slone is so tall. He's really turning into such a little man.

I love this one of Bo.
