Pyrex love

My mom has pyrex dishes. She got them for a wedding present in 1962. Yes my parents will have been married for 50 years this year in November! I am extremely proud of that fact and of them.

This one here is just like the sets Mom has. She also has the mixing bowls. I found this one at a antique shop. They remind me of home, remind me of her. Mom has always used them. This particular size was even broken. She found a replacement at a different shop awhile ago that came with a lid. Since her lid wasn't broke (just the dish), and she didn't need two lids, she gave me the extra.

I also found this little beauty on the same trip.

She has the cutest lid!

Now, honestly, I know nothing about any of these being worth any money or any of that stuff, but I do love them. Like I said it just reminds me of home. And not to mention, they are way more fun to look at than the plain white or clear Pyrex that I got for my wedding:)

I also have a couple sets of mixing bowls that I guess I could have photographed. The primary colors set that is really popular. I got them at an auction before Slone was born. And Mom found me the brown and white set with the gold on them awhile ago. She also bought me a pink bowl that she ended up using and I'm pretty sure that I'm never going to actually get it! :)

What about you? Do you collect it? I'm not really wanting to have shelves and shelves of it. I want it for the reason it was made....to use it!

wiww

Well, I am back with another blog about what I wore:)

As you can see, I got hair hair cut and lightened again. I love bring more blonde in the summertime. One of Matt's friends asked me what my real hair color actually was! It's gray, unfortunately. And blonde is a much easier upkeep than anything dark. But who knows, it might be dark the next time I go. I can't ever make up my mind:)
So have you bought any of the colored pants that are hot right now? I really like them, but is it just me or are the cute colors always in the skinniest toothpick-y styles? Well, I bought some anyway:) what do you think?

They are from old navy. And I have on my favoritest pair of toms. They are the leopard print flats in gray.

I paired it with my navy stripe tee from the gap and my old gray jean jacket. I'm sure it's from old navy.
The whole time I wore this outfit, I felt like I stuck out like a sore thumb. I'm definitely not used to the bright pants. Anyone else feel this way? I just kept telling myself to get over it.
So what do you think? Will colored pants be "in" for awhile? Or should I put them out with the garage sale?

Where in the world Is moreygirl?

Sorry, that I've been a little mia lately. I've struggled these last few weeks with what I really want to be doing, whether it's with my blog and website or with my family. I am pleased that my family won out, but I'm ready to get back into the swing of blogging.

I've also struggled with what's the point of blogging. And what do I really contribute to it. Is it worth my time to sit at the computer all afternoon or should I be busy keeping house? I believe that there's a happy medium but I was missing it. And I wasn't enjoying my blog. I didn't want to seem self-righteous, petty, or vain, but I couldn't help feeling that way. I also didn't want my blog to get redundant and boring. And I just felt like I was out of ideas.

But I'll be back later this week with new sewing ideas, new vlogs, and ill be updating the creative God series. But tonight I'm going out to take engagement pictures. So look for a sneak peek of those coming up soon too!
