reflection
this is a reflection from the wheel of Matt's semi truck. Even though they're not looking, I like that everything important to me is in the pic: husband, both boys, my home and shed, and my camera;)

my baby is 3!
Well, not quite, not until February 2. It seems just like yesterday that we were bringing him home. I watched the Bears play in the Superbowl while I was in the hospital. It was the coldest day of year, the day we brought him home. Matt brought the huge truck for me to climb up into after having a csection (but that's a story for another post). Bo was stubborn, therefore breach, hence the csection. Not much has changed, he's still stubborn (and Matt is still not thoughtful:). Here's the card we just sent out yesterday.
ps I purchased the back of the card here. I love that place!

Snow is not new news
We played out in the snow one day. You can't even see Bo's feet in this one.
Then we made snow angels. While we were doing this, Bo went in the house. He hates being cold. That's mine on the left, Slone's on the right.
One last quick shot of Slone. So cute:)

granny style
No, not my underwear....well, maybe. I've been working on some granny squares. I was inspired by some great pics from this girl. Everything on her blog is inspiring. I even want to make a quilt...a BIG quilt. Anywhoooo....
I found this awesome picture of a granny square afghan on flickr.
So I've done some practicing. Here's what I've come up with so far. I think I ready to splurge on some nicer yarn for an afghan of my own. I didn't have any white so I used black. But I'm really liking the white in the afghan above.
Oh yeah, and the mug is from Kinze. I love it. I use it everyday:) Thanks Kinze.

CPSIA, just an FYI
Well, I've had a lot of you ask about this law that halted my production of baby items for moreygirl. They've finally released some information that clears some things up.
I'll let you read it though.
http://www.cpsc.gov/about/cpsia/smbus/cpsiasbguide.pdf
Basically, we are able to use fabrics and yarns but no snaps, zippers, metal types of things.
For right now, I'm going to be selling small baby quilts and the crochet hats. I really don't know if I will get into any more than that.

we saw an eagle....
yesterday, at the end of our road. I thought it was pretty cool.
It was having coyote for lunch. Slone thought that was pretty cool.
Then it flew. You got it....it was pretty cool. I have never seen an eagle that closely in the wild.
I am not surprised that it such a symbol for freedom. It was one of the most graceful things that I have seen in flight.

new year, new resolutions
So in 2009.....
1. My youngest child turned 2.
2. My oldest child turned 5.
3. I dealt with all the emotions of a mother whose child got on the bus for the first time.
4. I enjoyed spending time with my girls from MOPS and took over the crafts at our meetings.
5. I joined Twitter....something I said I would never do.
6. I took the leap into photography and shot two weddings.
7. I celebrated my 8th wedding anniversary with my hubby.
8. I embarrassingly admit that I read and watched Twilight....and enjoyed it. Thanks a lot, Annie!
9. I visited Disney World for the first time in my life.
In 2010, I will......oh, what do I want to do this year? My resolutions are not big. I just need to do something little everyday, otherwise if I miss a day I'll just quit.
1. Do at least one load of laundry a day.(Actually, I just have to keep this one up. I've been doing this for about the last 5 months.)
2. Keep in touch with my friends better.
3. Sew, sew, sew.
4. Everyone's new year's resolution: lose some weight. Christmas was not kind to me or my pants.
5. take an Unravelling course.
6. watch more movies. I immensely enjoyed watched movies with my kids and Matt over Christmas break.
7. try to cook more healthful meals.
8. try not to be so psycho...thanks, Matt for your help on this list.
9. be happy.
10. enjoy my life and my family.
Whew....That took me awhile! I was shooting for 10 things for 2010.
I sincerely hope that you have a great new year in 2010!
