this is what happens...
{if you don't know what a bakugan is, it's that little black ball in front of the lettuce. You need a 5 year old to explain them too you:)}

Christmas was great
The boys got the Big Buck Hunter game. They though it was pretty awesome. Got the best "thank you, mom!" ever....see here:
Actually, the game ended up a little hard for them, but Matt and I had a fun Christmas playing it.
Here are some of my favorite hunters:)

a lot like Christmas
This year I found this cool Christmas card tree! I love hanging all the cards up on it. It's a fun way to display all of our cards.
This is our little Christmas corner. Of course, the tree is colored lights....you just have to have colored lights when you have kids (well, my kids anyway). Slone has been coming home with little handmade ornaments from Sunday school and preschool. It's been fun adding them to the tree as we go.
There's also the presents. Slone and Bo both got to go shopping at Santa's Secret Shop. They cannot hardly wait until Friday!
Can you see the little village on the mantle? It was my grandma's. I love it:)
Oh, we also had the addition of our temperature gauge that was added by Matt. Supposedly, the perfect spot was on top of the candle stick.
Hope you have a Merry Christmas! I'll be back with pictures from Christmas morning!!

Christmas Cards!
Here it is in action....
And here's the result...
You can snag one for yourself from the Paper Source. I love this store! I am always excited to get their catalog and drool over it! They have lots of fun little trinkets for gifts too.
Merry Christmas!

Christmas -- the busiest time of the year
Just so you know, Bo gets to do all the fun stuff while Slone's at school.....really! Slone wanted you to know that.
Then I snapped this pic...
He's looking at the lady who was asking me if he was shy or ornery. Ha! Lady, if you only knew!
Then, of course, the reason I wanted to avoid center court of the mall as a young child, Santa! Bo was really excited about seeing him. Much better than the last time we saw him. Bo wasn't even born yet and Slone was the child screaming bloody murder at him.
I realize that he looks like he's not having fun here. But, believe me, he was pretty impressed. Dear old Santa, though, had his eyes closed in every pic but this one.
You'll have to excuse the pic. I took the lazy way out and emailed it to myself off of my phone!

FIVE
But honestly, I like five so far. I love that you can tell me you just had the best party ever. I love that you are sharing your new toys with your brother. I love hearing you say I love you back to me.
So, grow up, Slone. Even bigger and better things are coming! I love you!

So who gave this child a pen?
Because you should never {NEVER} give a two year old a pen! I'm pretty sure I didn't give it to him, but I have no idea how he got it. I was just thankful that he was quiet. He looked so sweet and innocent, until I got closer to him, and realized he was covered in pen marks! But so was/is my couch, the blanket, and of course his arms and legs were a mess too.
Moral of the story....hide your pens when Bo comes over.

Cecil Family Photos
We had a lot of fun on Sunday. It was a absolutely perfect day, and that’s pretty crazy for this year’s weather.
The guys wanted to go inside so we had a fun little photoshoot with Maggie:)
Then things got a little crazy!
You can see the rest of them on moreygirl.com in the photography section under the Cecil family.

Florida
Yes, we went to Disney World. No, Matt didn’t go. But he didn’t want to go, so we left him at home to work. So says Slone.
Here Slone is in Buzz and Woody’s little house. He thought the aliens were funny:) Seriously, that’s the funny face.
Then we had dinner with Mickey Mouse. Slone thought this was great, and it was! I’m all for the characters coming to you instead of you standing in line to see them.
I love this of Bo. This was the last night and the first time he let any of them come near him. It was really cute to see him get over being shy and scared and actually enjoy it.
See all the excitement on their faces when they got to meet their hero, Lightning McQueen (or Queen as we call him)? Jeez, that was money well spent.
Slone did think that the Green Army Man was cool. That’s how he even signs his autograph….The Green Army Man. I know, we got his autograph.
This was how Bo spent most of the trip. Fingers in his mouth. It was so stinkin’ hot there that the boys were pretty worn out by noon. This was on the Safari ride at Animal Kingdom.

family
I love this little snapshot. I love that Matt has a half-way smile on his face, at least it seems like he’s enjoying himself. I love that we’ve been married for eight years this month. I love that Slone has been a part of our family for almost five years. I love that he loves preschool. And I love that he had to have a picture of everyone in his family for homework. I love that Bo has been a part of our family for almost 3 years. I love that he’s crazy and happy. I love that this picture shows my family and all the chaos that comes with it…did you check out my desk!?!

Labor Day Fun (a week late)
I know, I know, Labor Day was a long time ago. But in my defense, the party was the weekend after, so I’m not really that late with posting:) Here’s Henry chowin’ down on some macaroni salad.
Taylor is never really sure about me with a camera at first.
Henry’s not really ever sure about Taylor at first either:)
The bigger boys had fun with the football. Can’t hardly believe that they are old enough to be in jfl.
Mom made all the great food. She’s always ready for a party.
Bo and Taylor played really well together. They were pretending to ride the little fourwheeler.
Then there was a new little fourwheeler. Slone was so excited!
It was a great afternoon.

Fun at the Fall Festival
When Dad asked him if they should just let the cow run (with Bo on the steer), Bo wanted him too! That’s the little boy that they bought the steer from. I remember him as the same size as Slone. It won’t be long until Slone is doing all that stuff!
After the sale was over, we went up and rode the rides. It’s funny how they know exactly which ones they want to ride on. They also love the games. It sure seems like a lot of money for not much fun (time-wise). They definitely have fun. They the little car/bike merry-go-round first. Bo thinks he’s king, at least of the horn anyway.
Slone acts like his dad and tries to play it cool. But he secretly enjoys it just as much as Bo does.
Then they took a ride on the train. It was a little dull, but Bo enjoyed it nonetheless.
Hope everyone had a great of a weekend as we did!

Slone's first day of school
He told us last night that he didn't want to go. We finally got him conviced otherwise. It's amazing what a new shirt, shoes and backpack will do for a kid.
Bo was pretty bummed he didn't get to ride the bus. He keeps saying "own cool" and making a big pouty face. But he's saying "Slone school", like Slone's at school and Bo's not.
He got back this afternoon, says he's going back tomorrow! So overall, a pretty good day. I wonder if he'll even remember this day...

some fun with Henry
And yes, someday he'll be mortified. But what's an aunt to do when her nephew is this sweet?

sneak peek of what else I've been working on...
New Totes!
They'll be online soon! They'll also be at the Spoon River Drive and the Women's Lifestyle Show.
You have no idea how badly I want to carry a different one everyday!
