When you live with a 3 year old...
I have no idea why. End of discussion.
Since Slone went with his dad this afternoon and Bo is taking a nap, I did get some sewing done. I worked on Charity's baby bedding. Then I got a little sidetracked...
I really love the way this bag came out! I almost want to keep it for myself! If you like it as much as I do, head over to MoreyGirl.

She's gonna kill me:)
Here we are at our high school graduation party. Don't worry, there's no alcohol in those drinks. We just thought we were really cool...back in 1999. Haha:)
I'm not sure I have a digital picture of the two of us:)
We had a talk about the "good old days" -you know, the days you thought were the greatest, then you realize that they were not really that great- How fun it is to have a friend that you can laugh at yourself with, and thank goodness, she won't tell all your secrets either.
She says that she reads my blog....we'll see if she does. Enjoy your picture, Emma!
Thank you for being my friend.

Campbell's Pinafore
Here is a custom order that I just finished up for a sweet woman who I met at the Washington Cherry Festival. It's a reversible pinafore. I love the way it turned out!

You know you are a bad cook when....
you burn the microwave popcorn. I think our microwave has a mind of its own! I set it for 3 minutes every time and sometimes it's perfect, sometimes to many old maids, and sometimes burnt. Actually, the microwave is too small for the bags of popcorn. It's a little dorm sized one that Matt got for his birthday before we got married....and our 7 year anniversary is coming up in about 3 weeks.
I'd really like to have a new one, but I'd like to have all new appliances first:)

Things that made me happy yesterday...
I am thankful for Matt, that he didn't even throw a fit when we had to leave for vbs and he didn't get supper until after 8pm.
I am thankful for Slone, even though he can't quit saying "stupid"!
I am thankful for Bo, such a sweet boy, but a heck of a screamer.
I am thankful for tomatoes, and how wonderful that red one was this morning.
I am thankful for VBS and the great kids that were in my class last night. (no pic, sorry)
I am thankful for the olympics and that I get to watch Michael Phelps. Go USA! (seriously, I have a small crush)
I am thankful for Charity, and that we don't have to talk about anything important. Yesterday, we just talked about Michael Phelps:)
I know that you'll hate this pic Charity, but I think you're so cute in it:) love you!

Time for a Quiz
This is what it said about me:
POT-LUCK PRO
Your home certainly stands out from your neighbours'! There's nothing average or ordinary about the place, and that's just the way you like it. You have a maverick approach to interior design and decoration, finding inspiration in the most unlikely places. And it certainly works for you.
I think that's pretty true. I love weird kooky things. I love pattern. And I love color!
Here's a picture of my kitchen:
This was taken awhile ago, but my kitchen is too dirty to take a picture now. But everything up top of the cabinets is different now. And my fridge is covered in kiddie magnets and art work. But I love that green on the walls! The picture under the cabinets is board that I bought at an auction. It's a handpainted lady, rolling out a pie crust. But she looks like she's missing her right arm. (my husband hates it).
I thought you might want to see what it was like when we bought the place:
Yes, there was carpet and wallpaper. Thanks to my mom and brother for tons of help! We had to drywall over all that mess because we couldn't get it off!
Let me know how your quiz turns out!
While I was "working"....
My sister picked this out, much to my surprise! Before she had said, 'oh, I think that I want really modern fabric so he can grow into it:)' And she said it just like that, with a smiley face and everything. Then she sends me an email with this fabric linked to it:) So we are matching it up with some brown polkadot fabric and some lime stripes on the wall. I think that it's going to look really good. (love you, sis, but that story still cracks me up)
Now, I went to my other favorite online fabric store and saw Heather Bailey's new fabric! So I had to check out her blog...and I found this quote:
"To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded."-- Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)
I love it. I want this kind of success.

So do you want to know why....
Yes, Bo's arm is in the neck hole. And yes, that's because of his brother. And that's not a look of "why are you mad, Mom?", it's "I'm mad, and these cheerios are not making me happy!" I know, I know, I shouldn't have given him that many, but you have not heard this child scream:) Those of you who have heard him scream, totally understand where I'm coming from!
But then you get pictures like this...
and you forget you have the moments like in the first photo.
That is probably as good as it gets for Matt smiling for a photo:) I have no idea why. He looks so good when he smiles. And he has straight teeth.
